  • LEGO Bluey Theme Officially Confirmed For June 2025

In 2025 LEGO will continue to bring new themes and licenses to the brick-built world with it being officially confirmed that a fully- ledged LEGO Bluey theme will be coming this summer. Bluey is an extremely popular animated series aimed at children but it has also been extremely popular with adults and well-received by all ages. • Giant LEGO Sculpture Auction Announced After Brick Live Collapse

More than 250 enormous LEGO sculptures, previously part of international touring exhibitions by Brick Live International, are now up for auction following the company's collapse late last year. The astonishing collection was previously stored in a vast, unmarked warehouse in Cheshire before Robson Kay Associates were extremely surprised to discover an incredible range of brick-built models. Manchester-based auctioneers Robson Kay Associates have received some very unusual sale instructions in their 29-year history. From an ex-WWII German U-Boat to the original Pink Panther car, the team thought they had seen it all until they were stunned to find rows of tightly packed wooden crates full of LEGO builds on an incredibly creative and large scale. The models were previously used by LEGO specialists Brick Live for exhibitions and public events around the world, including major showcases in Detroit, Singapore, and across the UK. But now Robson Kay has been tasked with cataloguing and sorting all these sculptures, which were found in this unmarked warehouse almost as large as a full-size football pitch. Once catalogued, the auctioneers will sell Brick Live's inventory with an online bidding war, open now and until Tuesday the 3rd of June 2025. Among the highlights of the collection is a full-size Christmas sleigh pulled by eight LEGO reindeer, complete with Santa Claus and a pile of gifts, stretching more than 30 feet in length. Nearby stands a massive Santa Claus Express train, built entirely from LEGO bricks and complete with two full carriages. Also featured are large-scale builds of dinosaurs, sharks, medieval warriors, castles, jungle animals, cars, trains, and even entire game-themed scenes. Each sculpture is a testament to Brick Live’s master builders. The average model took over 100 hours to construct, using more than 25,000 LEGO bricks. One of the most impressive builds required nearly 250,000 bricks, weighs close to one metric ton, and took 1,200 hours to complete. In total, Robson Kay estimates that more than 10 million bricks were used across the full collection. To put the scale in perspective, it would take two people working 40 hours per week for 10 years, without breaks, to recreate all the sculptures from scratch. The auction offers a rare opportunity for LEGO collectors, theme parks, event organisers, and creative institutions to acquire museum-grade LEGO installations. Many of the pieces remain fully assembled and ready for display, while others have been partially disassembled for storage and transport. The entire auction is being conducted online, with listings available through Bidspotter, iBidder, and The Saleroom. All lots are accompanied by photos, detailed descriptions, and estimated dimensions. Bidding is already underway and will close on Tuesday the 3rd of June, so if you want to add an incredibly detailed, unique and large LEGO model to your collection, then start bidding now! As a beginner LEGO photographer, this is the perfect lens to introduce you to another element of the LEGO and AFOL community. We've thoroughly enjoyed testing out Apexel's latest lens, different angles, lighting, and other fancy features, and taking our photography levels to a new height. If you're already hooked and looking to start your LEGO photography career then you can follow this link here and purchase the Apexel 3-in-1 Macro Lens for yourself. But if you're unsure still then let's get into our Bricks Up official review... Unboxing and Initial Impressions Upon receiving the Apexel 3-in-1 Macro Lens, the first thing that stands out is the well-thought-out packaging. The kit includes a 100mm macro lens, a multifunctional 3-in-1 clip for attaching the lens to your phone, a fill light, and a zipper cloth bag for easy storage and transportation. The inclusion of a universal clip ensures compatibility with almost all smartphones, including popular models like the iPhone 14, Google Pixel 7 and our very own iPhone 13 which fit perfectly. The build quality of the lens is impressive, with an aviation aluminium body and six groups of six pieces of high-definition fully coated optical lenses. This design promises durability and excellent image quality, setting a high standard for macro lenses in this price range. Key Features 1. Magnification and Compatibility: The Apexel 3-in-1 Macro Lens offers 10-20X zoom magnification, allowing photographers to capture intricate details of their LEGO Minifigures, microfigures and any other small builds and details. Whether it's the fine print on a Minifigure's torso or the delicate features of a microfigures vague face, this lens brings out details that are often missed with a standard phone camera. 2. Image Quality: The high-quality optics of the Apexel lens ensure sharp and vibrant images. The lens's ability to reduce distortion and eliminate vignetting means that your photos will have a professional and realistic look. The photos of LEGO Minifigures that we've taken and displayed to you here show a significant improvement in image quality when using the lens, highlighting its ability to capture stunning close-ups. 3. Fill Light: The included fill light is a very welcome addition, especially for those shooting in low-light conditions. This feature is particularly useful for indoor photography, where lighting can often be a challenge. 4. Ease of Use: The lens attaches easily to your phone using the universal clip, and the phone holder provides a secure grip, ensuring that your device stays in place while shooting. The kit's compact size and portability make it convenient to carry around, whether you're shooting your LEGO Minifigures at home or on the road. Performance in LEGO Photography Using the Apexel 3-in-1 Macro Lens for LEGO Minifigure photography opens up a new world of creative possibilities. The lens's ability to focus on tiny details allows photographers to create dramatic and intimate portraits of their minifigures. The shallow depth of field achieved with the macro lens helps isolate the subject from the background, creating a pleasing bokeh effect that adds a professional touch to your photos. In a series of test shots, the lens performed admirably, capturing the fine details of LEGO minifigures with exceptional clarity. The fill light proved to be invaluable in achieving well-lit and balanced shots, especially when natural light was insufficient. Throughout this article we've included some of our expert photography snaps so let us know what you think and whether or not the Apexel lens has turned us from a beginner to a pro. Pros and Cons The Apexel 3-in-1 Macro Lens opens up many LEGO Minifigure photography opportunities and is a perfect, affordable way of expanding your photography skills no matter what level you are. However, there are a couple of small negatives when using the lens: Pros of the Apexel Lens Cons of the Apexel Lens Affordable (use bricksup10 for an even better price) and high-quality lens kit with instructions included. Easy to use with universal compatibility. Excellent image quality with sharp and vibrant photos. Includes a versatile fill light for enhanced illumination. • Breaking Records with LEGO Bricks: How Lucas-Dynamics’ LEGO Auto Clicker Took the Internet by Storm

Have you ever thought something as simple as plastic LEGO bricks could break world records? Well, afol YouTuber Lucas-Dynamics  did just that! They created a super-fast mouse clicker using entirely LEGO Technic pieces, and it’s taken the internet by storm. To date, the video showcasing this amazing gadget has over 9 million views on YouTube!  This clever device isn’t just a toy, it's a powerful machine that clicks a computer mouse faster than any human ever could. Lucas-Dynamics’ invention exemplifies how creativity and a few LEGO pieces can come together to make something truly extraordinary.  People all over the world are amazed by how such a simple idea can become a record-breaking sensation. It’s a perfect example of how imagination, technology and of course, the main ingredient LEGO, can create wonders for kids and adults alike! How It All Started Avid LEGO collector and enthusiast Lucas-Dynamics loves to push the boundaries of what LEGO can do. They decided to build a machine that clicks a computer mouse incredibly fast - so fast that in fact, no human has ever clicked a mouse that many times in such a short amount of time. First, they built a simple frame with LEGO to hold the mouse in place. Then, they added a stick and a motor to very quickly click the mouse when the switch is turned on. To see how fast their new invention was, they connected it to their PC and accessed a website called CPSTest.org . This website puts your mouse-clicking skills to the test and measures how many times you can click a mouse in just one second. You can try it out for yourselves by hitting that link but good luck beating Lucas-Dynamics' high score... When they tested it, the auto clicker achieved 8.6 clicks per second, which was almost the same as the 8.2 clicks per second they got when clicking manually. Realising they could make it even faster, they decided to tweak the design and improve the mechanics of the clicker. Making It Faster At first, the clicker could do 8.6 clicks per second but Lucas-Dynamics was aiming high and putting his LEGO skills to the test with the aim of making the auto clicker even faster! After testing the auto clicker on CPSTest.org , they found that it wasn’t as fast as they hoped. So, they decided to make further modifications. First, they changed the click angle to be a little diagonal, which improved the speed to 9.0 clicks per second. Next, they adjusted the gear ratio by adding more gears and increasing the gear rotation speed. These changes made a big difference, and the auto clicker’s speed jumped to 29.4 clicks per second . But they didn’t stop there as Lucas-Dynamics continued to push the capabilities of LEGO and LEGO Technic pieces. Breaking Records Further changes were necessitated as they continued to refine and push the limits of their auto clicker. Lucas-Dynamics decided to add a controller so they could adjust the mouse-clicking speed whenever they wanted. To build this controller, they first used a motor with 490 RPM (revolutions per minute). However, they aimed for an even higher speed, so they tried another motor with 2400 RPM, using an RPM calculator device shown in the YouTube video to measure the speed. Lucas thought this motor might be too fast, potentially breaking the computer mouse, so they finally decided on a motor with 1700 RPM. They also noticed that the current mechanism had too many moving parts, which could be improved and simplified. To simplify the design, they used a single part directly connected to the motor. They also made sure the device didn’t damage the mouse by adding some rubber parts as protection. With all these upgrades, the clicker finally reached an amazing speed of 70.2 clicks per second! People Love It People who watched the video, including everyone here at Bricks Up, were absolutely amazed as Lucas-Dynamics pushed the capabilities of LEGO in order to break real-world records. Some of comments from fans include the likes of “Wow, this is incredible!” and “I didn’t know LEGO could do this!” as everyone showed their appreciation towards Lucas-Dynamics incredible creation. Some even suggested that LEGO should sponsor Lucas-Dynamics because of this cool invention. One viewer commented, “This is the type of video that we will be recommended in 7-10 years,” showing how memorable and impactful the video is. Another enthusiastic fan wrote, “Dude, LEGO should sponsor this guy! He literally broke the world record using toys!”  Viewers are thrilled by the creativity and skill behind the auto clicker, with many expressing admiration and excitement for future projects from Lucas-Dynamics. Engineering Challenges and Solutions Building the LEGO auto clicker wasn’t without its challenges. One major issue Lucas-Dynamics faced was the complexity of the device, which had too many moving parts. This made the machine less efficient and harder to control. To tackle this, they decided to simplify the mechanism. They replaced the complex setup with a single, faucet-like LEGO block directly connected to the motor. This streamlined design reduced the number of moving parts and made the clicker more reliable.  Another challenge was the potential damage to the mouse due to the rapid clicking. To solve this, Lucas-Dynamics added rubber parts to the mechanism. These rubber components helped cushion the impact, reducing the risk of damaging the mouse and making the clicking much smoother. Choosing the right motor was also a critical part of the process. They started with a motor that had 490 RPM (revolutions per minute) but found it wasn’t fast enough. They then tried a motor with 2400 RPM, but it was too fast and hard to control. Finally, they settled on a motor with 1700 RPM, which provided a perfect balance between speed and control. Using an RPM calculator device, they ensured the motor’s speed was optimal for achieving high clicks per second without compromising the stability and durability of the auto clicker. These thoughtful solutions and adjustments highlight Lucas-Dynamics’ engineering skills and their ability to overcome obstacles to create a record-breaking device made entirely out of LEGO bricks. Conclusion Lucas-Dynamics achieved something truly remarkable by building a record-breaking auto clicker using LEGO Technic. This innovative project not only smashed previous click speed records but also showcased the incredible potential of LEGO for creative engineering and robotics. The success of this project demonstrates how a simple plastic toy can be transformed into a powerful tool through ingenuity and technical skill. This achievement highlights the endless possibilities with LEGO Technic, encouraging enthusiasts to think outside the box and explore new ways to use these versatile building blocks. Whether you’re a seasoned LEGO builder or just starting out, this project shows that with creativity and determination, you can create amazing things. Here at Bricks Up, we invite you to watch the video and see this incredible auto-clicker in action. Discover more about the world of LEGO Technic and get inspired to embark on your own creative builds. Who knows? You might just create the next viral sensation with over 9 million views! • LEGO Nike 43008 Nike Dunk x LEGO Set Officially Revealed | July 2025

The LEGO and Nike collaboration is starting to hit its stride as, following the official partnership announcement last year, the two global brands have officially revealed their first physical products. A total of three Nike-branded LEGO sets will reportedly be launching in 2025, with the first of these officially presented today ahead of its launch on the 1st of July 2025. 43008 Nike Dunk x LEGO Set is kicking off this partnership in physical LEGO form, which has been eagerly awaited by LEGO fans and sneakerheads since the official announcement in August 2024. The official statement from the two leading brands stated that we would see a "series of co-branded products, content and experiences" combining imagination, creativity, play and sport throughout. The brand new and exclusive 10+ model is the first of these products "celebrating sport and creative play" with 1,180 pieces included at a recommended retail price of $99.99 / €99.99 / £89.99. Several interconnected builds are included at that $100 price tag, all related to Nike's rich sporting and clothing history. Fans will be able to get a further taste of the partnership and this upcoming set with activities and events taking place worldwide throughout the Summer. But back to 43008, the model recreates a brick-built version of the Nike Dunk shoe on a creative and cartoon-like stand with a Nike Dunk slogan and a rotatable basketball also attached. The shoe is extremely detailed and captures the iconic Nike Dunk footwear perfectly in a white and blue colour scheme. The Nike swoosh is a prominent feature of the shoe, which can easily be opened up to store LEGO pieces and customised with different coloured laces. The Nike Dunk doesn't stop there, however, as we are getting a brick-built version of the "Dunk" slogan in a 2D display form. The slogan is built in a similar way to LEGO Art's 31214 LOVE, but much smaller and in a completely different colour scheme with two shades of blue. Attached to the top left of the slogan is a completely brick-built spherical basketball. The ball is unsurprisingly coloured orange and black and can be spun round as its main play feature. Finally, 43008 and the LEGO Nike partnerships will go a step further than the previous Adidas collaboration and include an exclusive Minifigure. This character will literally be the spirit of fun and creativity as it will have a basketball for a head. The figure, nicknamed B'Ball Head, also includes some exclusive torso and leg printing replicating real-life Nike merchandise and clothing. 43008 Nike Dunk x LEGO Set Set Name - Nike Dunk x LEGO Set Set Number - 43008 Age Range - 10+ Piece Count - 1,180 Price - $99.99 / €99.99 / £89.99 Release Date - 1st July 2025 43008 Nike Dunk x LEGO Set releases on the 1st of July 2025, but what do you think? • LEGO NIKE 43008 NIKE Dunk With Logo & Basketball Rumoured For July 2025

Almost a year after the LEGO Group and the American athletic footwear and apparel brand Nike announced a brand new multi-year partnerships, our first rumours for a range of brick-built LEGO Nike models have hit the LEGO rumour mill. In particular, reports suggest that a total of three Nike-branded LEGO sets will be launching in 2025 with the first of these releasing in just over a months time on the 1st of July 2025. 43008 NIKE Dunk With Logo & Basketball will kick off this partnership in physical LEGO form, which has been eagerly awaited by LEGO fans and sneakerheads since the official announcement in August 2024. The official statement from the two leading brands stated that we would see a "series of co-branded products, content and experiences" combining imagination, creativity, play and sport throughout. The rumoured 10+ model is the first of these products "celebrating sport and creative play" with 1,180 pieces included at a recommended retail price of $99.99 / €99.99 / £89.99. Several builds are included at that $100 price tag, all related to Nike's rich sporting and clothing history. The first is a detailed brick-built version of the Nike Dunk shoe, most likely designed in a bold red and white colour scheme. Expect plenty of interesting building techniques to create this life-like object with its unique angles and textures. The iconic Nike swoosh will be a prominent feature of the build, which, just like 10282 Adidas Superstar, will be just a single shoe, perfect to display. The Nike Dunk fun doesn't stop there, however, as we will be getting a brick-built version of the Nike Dunk logo, most likely in a 2D display form. This could possibly be mounted on a small base next to the shoe, allowing both builds to be easily displayed. The third and final build of the set is another model aimed mainly for display, as it's a small but spherical brick-built basketball. Just like the logo, this probably won't be that big, yet still include plenty of orange pieces and black prints to recreate an accurate representation of the ball. Finally, 43008 and the LEGO Nike partnerships will go a step further than the previous Adidas collaboration and include an exclusive Minifigure. This character will literally be the spirit of fun and creativity as it will have a basketball for a head. Hopefully, exclusive torso and leg printing are included too, with iconic Nike merchandise replicated on our beloved LEGO Minifigures. 43008 NIKE Dunk With Logo & Basketball Set Name - NIKE Dunk With Logo & Basketball Set Number - 43008 Age Range - 10+ Piece Count - 1,180 Price - $99.99 / €99.99 / £89.99 Release Date - 1st July 2025 43008 NIKE Dunk With Logo & Basketball releases on the 1st of July 2025, but what do you think? • LEGO Botanicals 10373 Mini Bonsai Trees Rumoured For August 2025

The LEGO Botanicals theme has continued to go from strength to strength throughout 2025, and on the 1st of August 2025, the 18+ theme will see another two sets release. One of these includes our third set from the theme based on Bonsai Trees, which was one of the first-ever LEGO Botanical Collection sets with 10281 Bonsai Tree. In 2025, however, it'll be the release of 10373 Mini Bonsai Trees retailing for $59.99 / €59.99 / £54.99 with 709 pieces included. The set name suggests that, rather than one large Bonsai Tree, such as those seen in the previously mentioned 10281 and this year's 10348 Japanese Red Maple Bonsai Tree, multiple small-scale Bonsai Trees will be included. Each will be entirely brick-built with its own distinct shape, colour palette and seasonal theme, for example. Overall, the set will likely be a Bonsai version of the popular 10329 Tiny Plants. We may, for example, see both a Moygui style Bonsai (a slightly curved and tapered trunk) and a very common Chokkan Bonsai with its upright style. 10373 may also include a seasonal Bonsai based on Autumn or Winter with orange and red foliage or small spikes of white and blue to simulate snow and ice. Finally, a flowering Bonsai with cherry or plum blossom may also make an appearance as another colourful botanical to recreate in brick-built LEGO form. 10373 Mini Bonsai Trees Set Name - Mini Bonsai Trees Set Number - 10372 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 709 Price - $59.99 / €59.99 / £54.99 Release Date - 1st August 2025 10373 Mini Bonsai Trees releases on the 1st of August 2025, but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 10373 in a months time? Do you own any of the previous two LEGO Bonsai Tree models from the theme? What type of Bonsais do you think will be included in the latest LEGO Botanicals 18+ model? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

  • LEGO Botanicals 10372 Hibiscus Rumoured For August 2025

Following on from the release of 10348 Japanese Red Maple Bonsai Tree and 10349 Happy Plants earlier this month, our range of brick-built flowers and plants will be expanding even further this summer with the release of two more sets. The two brand new LEGO Botanical models will launch on the 1st of August and include 10372 Hibiscus. The 18+ model includes a total of 660 pieces retailing for $69.99 / €69.99 / £59.99 The hibiscus botanical itself is a tropical flower known for its bold, trumpet-shaped blooms and lush green foliage. These flowers are native to warm-temperate and tropical regions around the world, well-known in cultures such as those of Hawaii and the Caribbean. With colours ranging from red and pink to yellow and white, the hibiscus is a beautiful part of nature and will make the perfect brick-built LEGO model once it releases later this summer. For the build itself, we can expect the flower's signature shape to be recreated using a combination of curved elements and unique part usages seen in previous LEGO Botanicals sets. Each bloom will likely feature five overlapping and pretty large petals to create the trumpet shape. These brick-built petals will then be attached to the stem of the plant, utilising previous LEGO stem builds, while also surrounding a brick-built interpretation of the hibiscus' stamen. Retailing at $69.99 / €69.99 / £59.99, a price similar to many of the theme's previous bouquet models, we can expect multiple stems of the Hibiscus flower to be included in 10372. LEGO will also likely make each of the hibiscus' included in the 18+ set a different colour to make the brick-built model as colourful and as bold as the plant itself. A mix of red, pink, yellow, white and purple, for example, would make another beautiful display model from the theme. 10372 Hibiscus Set Name - Hibiscus Set Number - 10372 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 660 Price - $69.99 / €69.99 / £59.99 Release Date - 1st August 2025 10372 Hibiscus releases on the 1st of August 2025, but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 10372 in a months time? What do you make of the Hibiscus flower in real life? Will you be adding the colourful, tropical plant to your brick-built botanical collection? • LEGO Ideas 40789 Flying Moon Car Insiders Reward Officially Revealed | 1st July 2025

Following on from 40786 Micro Command Centre, which was released in March, another LEGO Ideas-branded model will become available in the LEGO Insiders Reward Centre. This set in particular is 40789 Flying Moon Car, which will be available starting from the 1st of July 2025, alongside the LEGO Ideas GWP of 40788 Friendly Snails. 40789 includes a total of 211 pieces and will be obtainable in the Insiders Reward Centre in exchange for 2,500 points. 40789 Flying Moon Car is based on EnchantingNoodle's Vehicle: Moon Car project, which, alongside the Micro Command Centre, won 2024s Exploring the Cosmos competition. The original fan model, which has carried on to the official model revealed today, focused mainly on the Moon Car itself - a Minifigure-scale science fiction vehicle built for space exploration. Two astronaut Minifigures are also included, along with the car in their space suits, ready for the next mission. The light blue and grey coloured car is complete with a futuristic, hovering aesthetic utilising a couple of black technic pieces attached to the vehicle to simulate this levitation. This feature is then attached to a very simple yet realistic creation of the moon's grey and relatively lacklustre surface. Here we can find multiple different-sized craters and a lunar lamppost - a unique and funny element of the build, which also includes a large brick-built yellow arrow attached to the post. 40789 Flying Moon Car Set Name - Flying Moon Car Set Number - 40789 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 211 Price - 2,500 Insiders Reward Points Release Date - 1st July 2025 40789 Flying Moon Car will be available starting from the 1st of July 2025, but what do you think? • LEGO Ideas 40788 Friendly Snails GWP Officially Revealed | 1st July 2025

Whilst the LEGO Ideas brand may not be one of the few themes with a set or two launching on the 1st of July 2025, a LEGO Ideas-inspired Gift With Purchase will soon be releasing. This promotional item, in particular, is the winner of 2024's 'Build the Gift of Purchase Set of your Dreams' with Jagamax's 'The Autumn Snails' being available from the 1st to the 7th of July 2025. With the set number 40788 and official set name Friendly Snails, the 18+ model includes a total of 264 pieces with any purchases over $160. The set itself is a beautifully crafted nature vignette, displayed on a simple black diorama base and featuring many brick-built elements of our natural world. There's a larger snail with an earthy reddish brown coloured shell, along with a slightly smaller version of the slimy animal that comes with a navy blue shell design. The smaller snail, in particular, can be found on a brown, mossy log stretching across most of the 18+ diorama. The log, just like the rest of the surrounding forest-like scenery, includes a range of building techniques, earthy colours, multiple leaf elements and a couple of mushrooms for further added details. Amongst all this, we can also find traces of translucent green slime, small rock elements, a puddle and a printed bee. 40788 Friendly Snails Set Name - Friendly Snails Set Number - 40788 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 264 Price - GWP over $160 Release Date - 1st - 7th July 2025 40788 Friendly Snails will be available starting from the 1st of July 2025, but what do you think? Along with 40822 Jack-O'-Lantern Pickup Truck, another Halloween-branded LEGO set will also be releasing on the 1st of August 2025, 40825 Halloween Wreath. This 12+ is the larger and more expensive of the two spooky-themed sets releasing this Summer, with a total of 617 pieces included for a recommended retail price of $39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99. The Halloween Wreath will take on a completely different colour scheme with typical Halloween shades such as orange, purple and black. Compared to 40426, 2025's 40825 Halloween Wreath includes over 100 more pieces, suggesting additional decorative features and customisability included in the 12+ model.
