As was rumoured only a few weeks ago, the next LEGO Architecture set has been officially revealed becoming the second LEGO Architecture set of 2022. The set in particular is based on the Great Pyramid of Giza and how the pyramid complex looked 4000 years ago today. Because of the detail that has gone into replicating this historic monument, 1476 pieces are included retailing for $129.99 from 1st June 2022. Just like the real thing all those years ago, the LEGO version is built mainly with white bricks and features a golden keystone right at the entrance of the pyramid. This all fits on to a classic LEGO Architecture diorama being around 46 studs wide and 30 studs deep and being surrounded by a narrow black frame that includes a printed name tile of "The Great Pyramid of Giza". In the foreground of the diorama, there's the river Nile that stretches the whole width of the set with two different sized ships sailing across it. In the middle of the river is a temple-like jetty which is connected by a path to the entrance of the pyramid in the background. Next to the river are two other smaller pyramids, several small houses and lots of palm trees from loads of different ranges of green. However, the actual Great Pyramid of Giza which takes up most of the set, is only half of the pyramid itself as the inside is open. Here we can see the King and Queen's chambers along with a large gallery and airshafts. Technic holes are included at the back of the set so that if you get two of 21058 they can be connected to create a big pyramid and diorama. As has been rumoured for a few months, a LEGO set based on Transformers will finally be coming in less than a month's time. Thanks to Promobricks.de we now have further information on the upcoming LEGO Creator Expert set going by the set number 10302. Current rumours suggest the set will be officially revealed on 12th May 2022, just one year before the next Transformers film, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. The build itself will be a brick built figure of the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, who will be able to change into his truck form without removing any pieces. He'll also include a jetpack, his Ion Blaster and his Energon Axe with the brick-built figure being easily bendable at his arms and legs to easily change forms whenever needed. This will all be included in the 1508 piece set retailing for $169.99 and the Optimus Prime figure measuring 35cm in height. The exact version of Optimus Prime will be the iconic 80s G1 version which isn't based on any of the Michael Bay films. This will make it a great display set that will sit on one of those 18+ information plaques which include Top Trumps like stats. The set is also quite a historic one as once it's revealed on 12th May 2022 and available from 1st June 2022, it'll be the first time LEGO have teamed up with competitors Hasbro. The LEGO Ideas theme is expanding even further this year as after only around two years in development, the next set is right around the corner. This set will be 2133 Vincent Van Gogh: A Starry Night taking on the LEGO Art theme style of builds but in a 3D brick-built form. The set will be available from the end of this month for $159.99 with LEGO VIPs rumoured to get the set from 25th May 2022 rather than 1st June 2022 like everyone else. The set itself, unlike the LEGO Art sets, will include a Minifigure of Vincent Van Gogh himself with a brand new recolour of a hairpiece. Other details of the Minifigure are unconfirmed but it's likely he will include a paintbrush and some paint. However, the set itself isn't Minifigure scale at all as the brick-built painting is set to be a similar size to normal paintings. A Starry Night painting in LEGO form is very similar to the original normal painting and very similar to the original LEGO Ideas submission. However, more pieces have been included to create smaller details and more flowing lines. The set will also now include a picture frame around the painting to make it more realistic to the actual thing. 2022 is set to be a great year for LEGO Star Wars fans as at least 17 more sets will be releasing this year based on a range of films and shows. One of the most hyped LEGO Marvel sets of the year is the upcoming 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum with the main film that it's based on now in cinemas. This will be a brand new Sanctum Sanctorum, much bigger than the previous versions but based tow different films. 76218 will be a crossover between the new Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness film and the Infinity War film with Minifigures from both films included. The set itself will be very similar to last year's 76178 Daily Bugle and can even be connected to it like the LEGO Creator Expert modular line. The new Sanctum will also be on a 32x32 baseplate just like the Daily Bugle. However, it won't be as tall as the Bugle as it's only three storeys high but it will easily be the most detailed Sanctum so far with each level being detachable. The Sanctum will also be a corner building showing an interesting new building method to make the build accurate whilst being on a corner. There's also a sidewalk right in front of the building having two trees, a lantern, a post box and a fire hydrant. Other little details are also included from both films For the Minifigure selection, Doctor Strange is obviously included but with three different variants of his normal Multiverse of Madness Strange, Sinister Strange and Zombie Strange. We only heard rumours from one of LEGO's own themes Monkie Kid the other day but its Summer 2022 wave has already been officially revealed. Just like last year, the summer wave of LEGO Monkie Kid will consist of more expensive sets ranging from $80 to $180 all releasing on 1st June 2022 everywhere except North America where they'll release on August 1st 2022. The flagship set of this wave of LEGO Monkie Kid sets is a brick-built version of heaven with 80039 Heavenly Realms. Another LEGO set has been revealed and this time it's a surprise reveal of a brand new LEGO Classic set of 11022 Space Missions. The next wave of LEGO NINJAGO sets have been revealed to go along with the upcoming crystalised TV season. Eight of nine sets will be based on the new season with the ninth set being the last core 4+ set to go along with January's wave of core sets.
