  • LEGO Creator Expert 10497 New Galaxy Explorer Rumoured For August 2022 | LEGO Classic Space Return

As we reported recently, it seems two LEGO sets will be releasing this summer to celebrate LEGO's 90th Anniversary. Thanks to Promobricks.de 10497 will be a remaster of the LEGO Classic Space set of 497 Galaxy Explorer allowing a Castle set and a Space set to celebrate this iconic occasion. The 10497 set has been a mysterious set for a long time but as Stonewars.de realized recently, all the clues add up and the 497 in both set numbers. With this brand new Galaxy Explorer, the main focus will be on the spaceship itself. No 3D moon baseplates will be included as these went out of production along with the small transmission tower which also won't be included. The spaceship of the Galaxy Explorer will take up the whole set measuring 32cm wide and 52.5cm long allowing it to be a suitable display model and playable. For the cockpit and adjoining crew area, there will be two 12 x 6 x 2 windscreens in transparent yellow just like the colour of the original design's windscreen. In general, the new spaceship is a lot less bumpy with the edges of the wing fully tiled and a lot smoother. This can be reflected even more throughout the whole detailed design which gives off a more modern look. The rest of the cockpit includes a lot of small details for controlling the ship along with other major accessories and sleeping arrangements for the crew. The rear of the ship can also be opened directly down the middle allowing further access to the cockpit. There's also a small rover hidden in here which allows one of the four LEGO Minifigure astronauts (two white and two red classic suits) to drive around. Set Information Set Name - Galaxy Explorer Set Number - 10497 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 1254 Price - $99.99 Release Date - 1st August 2022

This will be another remake of a classic set but this time as a Gift With Purchase. 40567 Forestmen's Hideout GWP will take inspiration from the 1988 version 6054 Forestman's Hideout but with a modern 2022 look. The new LEGO 40567 Forestmen's Hideout GWP will be a 1:1 remake of the original even though many details have still been improved. One of these improvements include changes to the trees by making them more realistic using the dinosaur tail piece in black. • All The Rumoured Information on LEGO Creator Expert 10305 Lion Knight's Castle | 90th Anniversary

The highly anticipated and one of the biggest sets of the year, 10305 Lion Knight's Castle is closer than ever to its release date. The original 90th Anniversary set has been rumoured for a long time as the winner of the 90th Anniversary vote but will now be releasing alongside the Classic Space remake of 10497 Galaxy Explorer. And thanks to Promobricks.de we have further information about the build of the set which was previously teased. A total of 20 Minifigures will be included in the $349.99 set with many of them already shown in the 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine promotional video. These include a maid, a young ranger, a boy and a farmer wearing a blue forestman hat and blue ox cart. They'll also be a total of nine lion knights included with red torsos and blue arms along with a blue lion crest on the torso, as well as blue legs and red robe printing. Furthermore, there are two forestmen with green hats, green legs and green torsos along with some red printing. Two of the Falcon Knights introduced last year will also be included in their usual blue and grey colour scheme. There will also be a baker, a skeleton in the dungeons, a magician and a Queen. However, no king will be included with her which is why the set will now most likely be called Lion Knight's Castle. All of these 20 Minifigures will include a wide range of accessories like swords, axes, maces, lances, bows and shields. Various helmets and armour can be swapped between different Minifigures and a fanfare, a lute, a drum and several flags will also be buildable within the set. There is also a range of animals including a horse with a range of new armour, a white lamb and a cow. But now it's time to look at the build which will be the largest LEGO Castle of all time consisting of 4514 pieces and measuring around half a metre wide. The castle can be used from both the front and back being extremely playable from every angle. At the Center of the great castle is the large Gatehouse which is heavily inspired by previous LEGO Castle sets. A small ascent takes the Minifigure from the outside to a brown drawbridge which can be raised using the rotary wheel on the castle wall. There is also a portcullis as further protection for the castle residents. In the room under the castle gate is a dungeon with two cells to store the enemies. However, in the left cell, which is behind a large tree, it will be possible to take out the outer wall and escape the cell. Above the castle gate, on the other hand, the knights can choose a variety of weapons and armour in the armoury. The rest of the rooms are taken up with a castle kitchen, a millstone connected to the water wheel, a treasury, a dining room and the queen's chambers. However, no throne room is included indicating that it is a castle mainly for knights. • LEGO Creator Expert 10304 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Rumoured For August/October 2022

Thanks to the always reliable Promobricks.de another LEGO Creator Expert set is coming this year and it's another brick built car. As was already previously rumoured, along with 10298 Vespa 125 and 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine, a brand new vehicle of 10304 Chevrolet Camero Z/28 will be coming in 2022. This will be the classic American car version of the Chevrolet Camero Z/28 from 1969. The base model of the classic Camero is black with grey racing stripes on both the hood and the rear. However, these racing stripes are made from LEGO bricks rather than prints or stickers so can be changed to a different colour so you have more customization options. The designers themselves have even included two more colours of red and white to go along with the original grey so you don't have to buy extra bricks. That also isn't the only customisable bit of the set as the roof can easily be removed to change the model from a coupe into a convertible. This means that basically six different versions of the same car can be made by changing the colours and the roof. Different license plates are also included: a yellow one with the inscription CHTY-69 and a black one with the inscription P4N-T3R. The doors, the tailgate and the bonnet, which has a detailed engine built underneath it, can all be opened up as functions of the set. Some of these functions will reveal a detailed exterior which is decorated with dark red tones along with light red accents. All of this will be included for $159.99 with 1456 pieces included and will at release at some point between August and October. Set Information Set Name - 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Set Number - 10304 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 1456 Price - $159.99 Release Date - 1st August/October 2022 Featured Images: Etsy.com

  • LEGO Super Mario 71411 D2C Rumoured For July 2022 | Brick Built Bowser + Bowser's Castle?

Even after the reveal of most of the LEGO Super Mario sets releasing this summer, at least two more releasing this year have yet to be revealed. One of those sets includes this year's LEGO Super Mario D2C of 71411 which is set to retail for $229.99 with 2807 pieces. This is the same price as the first-ever LEGO Super Mario D2C that was released in 2020 with 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System. This indicates that the next LEGO Super Mario D2C is likely to be another brick-built Nintendo console. However, new rumours have emerged that a 'very large' brick-built Bowser figure will be included. It'll be much bigger than the already existing LEGO Bowser suggesting the set is based on Bowser's Castle or is based around Bowser and his Koopalings. Set Information Set Name - *LEGO Super Mario D2C* Set Number - 71411 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 2807 Price - $229.99 Release Date - 1st July 2022

  • LEGO Creator Expert 10497 Galaxy Explorer Rumoured For August/September 2022

A mysterious LEGO Creator Expert 2022 set may have finally had its mysterious cracked thanks to stonewars.de . The set 10497 has been described for a while as an "advanced model" and it's now rumoured to be another 90th Anniversary set along with the already rumoured 10305 Lion King's Castle. However, 10497 will be based on the Classic Space theme and the model of 497 Galaxy Explorer. As you can already tell, the original model of 497 is very similar to the rumoured re-release of 10497 Galaxy Explorer. This set number is also out of sync with the rest of the LEGO Creator Expert numbers suggesting the set is something different and trying to hide a hidden detail. Even though the original set had the set number 928 in Europe, the set number 10928 is already taken in the LEGO Duplo theme so LEGO are almost forced to use 10497 instead. Another anniversary set is also very likely due to both the popularity of the original vote and how big the occasion is. 90 years of LEGO is an incredible achievement so why not go all out. And the vote itself was extremely well received by fans and even though Castle did win, Classic Space is believed to have achieved a close second place. If there's an obvious demand for Classic Space, then LEGO can make it into an easy money maker set. But what will a modern-day 2022 version of a classic LEGO set look like? Well like with any upgraded LEGO set, we can expect a more substantial detailed build with new pieces and plenty of new prints. With it being an 18+ set, the spaceship will remain as the main draw of the set but feature as more of a detailed display piece. The new version will still include iconic prints like the LL 928 print and the usual Classic Space logo. The cockpit build is also likely to include prints to add the details along with the usual passenger build. It'll also likely still be a transparent yellow window for the cockpit which could use a brand new piece to make it a more slick and modern space design. The rest of the set will carry on the blue, grey and yellow colour scheme just like the classic set. The rest build meanwhile is unlikely to include the previous space baseplate with it crater landscape. However, the small buggy will most likely be included in an updated design along with a transmission tower. Hopefully, this will be more detailed with a small interior for Minifigures to easily enter. Talking about Minifigures, the set should once again be Minifigure scale with a range of Classic Space astronauts. At least one white and red astronaut, mechanic and pilot, will be included along with hopefully another four Minifigures at least. This may open up the opportunity for more colours of the classic spacesuit along with new helmets. However, none of this information is confirmed apart from the set number of 10497 and its release around either August or September. The rest of the information has been speculated by stonewars.de so big thanks to them but they are extremely reliable and why wouldn't LEGO make another anniversary set. We'll just have to wait and see in the next few months... • LEGO Ideas 21333 Vincent van Gogh - The Starry Night Officially Revealed | June 2022

The LEGO Ideas theme is expanding even further this year as, after only around two years in development, the next set has been officially revealed. This set will be 2133 Vincent van Gogh - The Starry Night taking on the LEGO Art theme style of builds but in a 3D brick-built form in a slick black frame. The set will be available from the end of this month for $159.99 with LEGO VIPs getting the set from 25th May 2022 rather than 1st June 2022. Unlike the LEGO Art sets, the set itself includes a Minifigure of Vincent Van Gogh himself with a brand new recolour of a hairpiece. Other details of the Minifigure include a new printed torso along with accessories of a paintbrush and some paint. However, the set itself isn't Minifigure scale at all as the brick-built painting is a similar size to normal paintings and can even be hung like one. A Starry Night painting in LEGO form is very similar to the original normal painting and very similar to the original LEGO Ideas submission. However, more pieces have been included to create smaller details and more flowing paint like lines along with more of a 3D feel with the houses and the landscape. As already mentioned, the set includes a brick-built picture frame around the painting to make it more realistic to the actual thing historic painting. Set Information Set Name - Vincent van Gogh - The Starry Night Set Number - 21333 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 2316 Price - $169.99 Release Date - 1st June 2022

  • The LEGO Marvel Sets Retirement Schedule (2022-2023 Update)

After the recent reveal of two more LEGO Marvel sets to add to the ever-growing collection of Marvel themed sets, it's inevitable that some older sets will soon retire. We now have even more information about LEGO's retirement plan for the LEGO Marvel theme with our information going up to 2023 but as the year goes on we'll very soon have more information going up to 2024. This will almost definitely change as more sets are released this year and sales for the certain set either increase or decrease. However, we can say that most of the LEGO Marvel sets that were released in 2020 will definitely have retired at the end of 2023. Any LEGO Marvel D2C sets like 76178 Daily Bugle and the rumoured 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum, usually last quite a few years and always last longer than the smaller more widely available sets. However, we'd recommend getting any retiring D2Cs as soon as possible as these will quickly increase in price and go for a hefty amount of money in a few years. • LEGO Creator Expert 10303 Double Loop Rollercoaster Rumoured For July 2022

After a year without a set for the LEGO Creator Expert sub-theme, the Fairground Collection sets will be expanding further this year thanks to official confirmation from Promobricks.de . In particular, 10303 will be a brand new Rollercoaster to replace 2018s 10261 Rollercoaster which has now retired. However, this version will be $20 cheaper but with two brick built loops for the LEGO Rollercoaster to race through. As with previous LEGO Rollercoasters, 10303 Double Loop Rollercoaster will have a small open station allowing Minifigures to board and exit the ride. The Rollercoaster itself consists of three light blue carriages and runs on yellow rails. Once the Rollercoaster drives out of the station onto a piece of track, it is immediately lifted up by an elevator lift to the top of the tower. This tower, which is around 92cm tall, can be operated with a Power-Up function for the lift so it automatically runs but it can also simply be operated by a crank. Once the Rollercoaster is at the top, there's a 180-degree turn to the right, followed by a steep 90-degree descent. This leads into the two loops just before the ride ends with a 270-degree turn left and a 90-degree turn right before the station. The two new loops and the elevator are the main new features of this LEGO Roller Coaster but eleven Minfigures are also included. These are seven passengers, three vendors and a Rollercoaster operator. Side builds include a hot dog grill stand, a pretzel shop and a small ballon bike along with a bench for Minifigures to sit on and a map of the park. Set Information Set Name - Double Loop Rollercoaster Set Number - 10303 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 3756 Price - $359.99 Release Date - 1st July 2022

  • LEGO Creator Expert 10302 Transformers Optimus Prime Officially Revealed | Summer 2022

As has been previously rumoured, a LEGO set based on Transformers will finally be coming in less than a month's time as it's been officially revealed by LEGO today. The LEGO Creator Expert set of 10302 will be available from 1st June 2022 joining a range of other sets releasing on the same day from other themes. This means the first LEGO Transformers set will be available a year before the next film, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. The build itself is a brick built figure of the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, who can change into his truck form without removing or adding any pieces. He also includes a jetpack, his Ion Blaster and his Energon Axe with the brick-built figure being easily bendable at his arms and legs to easily change forms whenever needed. This is all included in the 1508 piece set retailing for $169.99 and the Optimus Prime figure measuring 35cm in height. The exact version of Optimus Prime is the iconic 80s G1 version which isn't based on any of the Michael Bay films. This makes it a great display set that sits on one of those 18+ information plaques which include Top Trumps like stats which you can see in the official pictures. The set is also a pretty historic one as once it's available from 1st June 2022, it'll be the first time LEGO have teamed up with competitors Hasbro. Set Information Set Name - Optimus Prime Set Number - 10302 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 1508 Price - $169.99 Release Date - 1st June 2022
