After the leak yesterday of the first ever LEGO Lord of the Rings D2C, another one is now rumoured for a 2024 release of Barad-Dur. This comes after JeanGreyForever took part in a survey where they were asked questions about how much they would pay for upcoming LEGO sets and existing LEGO sets. A LEGO 18+ Lord of the Rings set was included in this list indicating that there's the possibility the set will be coming next year. The set in particular is a massive build of Barad-Dur, Sauron's fortress in Mordor, with a total of 4000 pieces with an expected price of $400. The set shown in the survey is around 83 cm high, 44cm wide and 36cm deep with the Eye of Sauron taking up most of the set and being visible at the top of the build. The set will also be Minifigure scale just like 10316 Rivendell. Currently, it's believed the Minifigures of Sauron in full armour, Sam, Frodo with the ring and Orcs will be included. The set will also include dungeons and armouries making it an incredible display set to go alongside the Minifigure scale Rivendell releasing next month. Set Information Set Name - Barad-Dur Set Number - TBC Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 4,000 Price - around $399.99 Release Date - 2024 Featured images: LEGO Ideas Barad-dur project by Anduin1710

We're already two episodes into the third season of the Mandalorian and one LEGO set reveal of the series has already taken place. This is 75346 Pirate Snub Fighter which was revealed on Tuesday this week with a release on 1st May 2023. And according to Promobricks.de , another set will similarly be revealed this Tuesday the 14th of March of 75361. The set was just rumoured a week or two ago and has a much later release date of 1st August 2023 compared to 75346's 1st May 2023 release. We also have no name for 75361 but we do know it will retail for $44.99 and 526 pieces. And because it's believed to be revealed this coming Tuesday, it's like the set is based on the most recent Mandalorian episode: The Mines of Mandalore. This suggests the $45 set will be a play set compared to 75346 Pirate Snub Fighter which is a brand new LEGO Star Wars ship. And luckily there are many locations of Mandalore that the set could be based on that we see throughout the episode along with new characters and creatures which could also feature in the set. W expect there to be a total of three or four Minifigures in the set but hopefully, the build itself is a great spectacle for all fans. Set Information Set Name - *LEGO Star Wars: Mandalorian Season 3* Set Number - 75361 Ages - 8+ Piece Count - 526 Price - $44.99 Release Date - 1st August 2023

After the first episode of the third season of the Mandalorian, we already have our first LEGO set based on the new series officially revealed. This is 75346 Pirate Snub Fighter which is based on the scene in the first episode where Mando attempts to escape from some pirates. Even though Din Djarin himself isn't included, two new exclusive Minifigures are of a Snub Fighter Pilot with a blaster pistol and Vane with a sword. They come with the Snub Fighter Pilots ship which is mainly grey but includes a cool new colour for the cockpit. The ship includes the usual features such as blasters, wings and a compartment containing a thermal detonator element. All of this and more make the 285 piece count which will retail for $34.99 from 1st May 2023. Another LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian season 3 set will also be coming on 1st May 2023 of 75348 Mandalorian Fang Fighter vs. TIE Interceptor but this is based on later episodes so will be revealed in a few weeks time Set Information Set Name - Pirate Snub Fighter Set Number - 75346 Ages - 8+ Piece Count - 285 Price - $34.99 Release Date - 1st May 2023

After the official reveal of 71423 Dry Bowser Castle Battle Expansion, another LEGO Super Mario reveal has taken place for Mario Day 2023. This time though its not a new set but a brand new buildable character of Donkey Kong. Like many buildable characters in the theme, he can interact with Mario, Luigi and Peach by riding on the back of him which then produces some cool Donkey Kong music. Donkey Kong is also very detailed in design along with functionality. He includes a red tie with the printed DK logo along with another print for his eyes. Big fig hands are used to recapture his gorilla lime structure along with many brown and tan pieces to make up his fur and belly. Currently, it's unconfirmed what set Donkey Kong will appear in or how many. We believe he'll most likely appear in the most expensive set coming in the Summer of 71425 which will retail for $99.99 with 1,157 pieces. Either way, Donkey Kong and at least eight more sets are coming for the LEGO Super Mario theme in the second half of 2023.

Our first LEGO Summer 2023 sets have been officially revealed with the return of the LEGO Jurassic World theme. In particular though, this is a special wave of sets with all five of them releasing on 1st June 2023 celebrating the first Jurassic Park film. Jurassic Park was first released on 16th July 1993 making this year its 30th anniversary since the franchise first started. And all five sets will be based on some of the most iconic, funny and tense scenes from the family fun movie. Dinosaurs like Triceratops, Brachiosaurus and Dilophosaurus will all be coming in this wave in their usual big LEGO moulds. These sadly do affect the price of the five sets but the most expensive of these is 76961 Visitor Centre: T-Rex & Raptor Attack which will retail at $119,99 for 693 pieces and a total of two dinosaurs. 76957 Velociraptor Escape Set Name - Velociraptor Escape Set Number - 76957 Ages - 4+ Piece Count - 137 Price - $34.99 Release Date - 1st June 2023 76958 Dilophosaurus Ambush Set Name - Dilophosaurus Ambush Set Number - 76958 Ages - 6+ Piece Count - 211 Price - $19.99 Release Date - 1st June 2023 76959 Triceratops Research Set Name - Triceratops Research Set Number - 76959 Ages - 8+ Piece Count - 281 Price - $49.99 Release Date - 1st June 2023 76960 Brachiosaurus Discovery Set Name - Brachiosaurus Discovery Set Number - 76960 Ages - 10+ Piece Count - 512 Price - $79.99 Release Date - 1st June 2023 76961 Visitor Centre: T-Rex & Raptor Attack Set Name - Visitor Centre: T-Rex & Raptor Attack Set Number - 76961 Ages - 12+ Piece Count - 693 Price - $119.99 Release Date - 1st June 2023

That's right, after almost three years of the LEGO Super Mario theme it's about time our favourite Italian Plumber appears in Minifigure form. Currently, Mario has only appeared in his Digfig form along with a couple of one-off appearances in LEGO Super Mario D2Cs. These involved a printed 8-bit Mario and a microscale brick-built Mario but not Mario Minifigures. So is it about time that Mario appears in LEGO Minifigure form - the most popular LEGO form for young and old fans of LEGO. And not just Mario, but his brother Luigi and all the other popular characters like Peach, Bowser, Toad, Yoshi, Donkey Kong and much more that have appeared in many iconic Super Mario Nintendo games. We believe now is the time for LEGO to fully utilize its Nintendo partnership and produce LEGO Super Mario Minifigures in 2023. There are a couple of reasons why we think this which we'll share with you below along with the list of all LEGO Super Mario sets currently rumoured for a 1st August 2023 release. 71420 *LEGO Super Mario* ($9.99) - 106 pieces - 1st August 2023 71421 *LEGO Super Mario* ($24.99) - 174 pieces - 1st August 2023 71422 *LEGO Super Mario* ($34.99) - 259 pieces - 1st August 2023 71423 *LEGO Super Mario* ($99.99) - 1,321 pieces - 1st August 2023 71424 *LEGO Super Mario* ($59.99) - 554 pieces - 1st August 2023 71425 *LEGO Super Mario* ($99.99) - 1,157 pieces - 1st August 2023 71426 *LEGO Super Mario 18+ D2C* ($59.99) - TBC pieces - 1st November 2023 Different Price-Per-Piece Ratio Prices of LEGO sets have constantly increased over the last few years and this has affected many different LEGO themes including LEGO Super Mario. It was claimed that the LEGO Super Mario theme sets were priced poorly due to the technology involved with the Digifigs, interactive tiles and the reliance on the app. But this new list of sets seems to have a noticeably better price-per-piece ratio than previous LEGO Super Mario sets. This is really odd when all themes have been affected by price increases implying that the Digifig technology may not be involved in these sets and instead much cheaper to produce Minifigure scale sets are released in August 2023. The likes of 71423 and 71425 are specially priced well. No Weird Box Shapes It has been reported by many retailers that the box sizes of each of these sets are nothing unusual, unlike the LEGO Super Mario Starter Course box which takes on a weird angular shape. Even the $60 set in this wave is apparently a normal-sized box. This indicates further that this wave is no longer Diggif based especially as there are no character pack-sized or priced sets to join the wave. Unpopular Concept Amongst Fans Like most things in LEGO, fans always want sets to be in Minifigure scale so we gain accurate fully detailed sets along with even more detailed Minifigures. And the same can be said for LEGO Mario with it being everyone's dream to finally get Mario in LEGO form. Even though the already existing LEGO Super Mario sets aren't the worse sets on shelves, many have grown to like them but then quickly dislike them again. Many fans see the course-building system as a gimmick which is no longer very interesting and just extremely repetitive with each wave of new sets offering nothing new. This has led to many sets being on sale throughout the year in many stores. Low Price D2C As you can see from the setlist above, this years LEGO Super Mario 18+ D2C is only $59.99, cheaper than two standard sets in this wave. And much cheaper than the previous three LEGO Super Mario D2Cs. So does that mean this set could be something completely different like a Minifigure diorama which we've seen in many other themes like LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Jurassic Park. But what do you think? Let us know in the comments below.

It's only a week until Mario Day but we've known for a while that another wave of LEGO Super Mario sets will be coming this summer. We already have already covered the next LEGO Super Mario D2C of 71426 but there are still another six sets releasing between now and the end of 2023. These range from the set numbers 71420 to 71425 which will all release on 1st August 2023 whilst the D2C releases in Autumn. 71420 *LEGO Super Mario* Set Name - *LEGO Super Mario* Set Number - 71420 Ages - 7+ Piece Count - 106 Price - $9.99 Release Date - 1st August 2023 71421 *LEGO Super Mario * Set Name - *LEGO Super Mario* Set Number - 71421 Ages - 7+ Piece Count - 174 Price - $29.99 Release Date - 1st August 2023 71422 *LEGO Super Mario* Set Name - *LEGO Super Mario* Set Number - 71422 Ages - 6+ Piece Count - 259 Price - $34.99 Release Date - 1st August 2023 71423 *LEGO Super Mario* Set Name - *LEGO Super Mario* Set Number - 71423 Ages - 8+ Piece Count - 1,321 Price - $99.99 Release Date - 1st August 2023 71424 *LEGO Super Mario* Set Name - *LEGO Super Mario* Set Number - 71424 Ages - 8+ Piece Count - 554 Price - $59.99 Release Date - 1st August 2023 71425 *LEGO Super Mario* Set Name - *LEGO Super Mario* Set Number - 71425 Ages - 8+ Piece Count - 1,157 Price - $99.99 Release Date - 1st August 2023 71426 *LEGO Super Mario D2C* Set Name - *LEGO Super Mario D2C* Set Number - 71426 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - TBC Price - $59.99 Release Date - Autumn 2023

With the release of the third season of the Mandalorian happening yesterday, another LEGO Star Wars set based on the series will be releasing later this year. We already know two sets of 75346 and 75348 will be coming on 1st May 2023 based on the series but 75361 will now release on 1st August 2023 also based on the series. Due to its much later release date, the set is most likely a spoiler set that will be revealed around May/June 2023 once the season fully airs. The set will retail for $44.99 with 526 pieces making it a good valued set from the LEGO Star Wars theme. We imagine the set will be more of a play set based on a location like Mandalore or maybe even the final battle scene if one appears right at the end of season 3 of The Mandalorian. Set Information Set Name - *LEGO Star Wars: Mandalorian Season 3* Set Number - 75361 Ages - 8+ Piece Count - 526 Price - $44.99 Release Date - 1st August 2023
