  • All The Rumoured Information on LEGO DC 76220 The Batcycle vs Harley Quinn | August 2022

It's already been rumoured for a few weeks that at least one LEGO DC set will be releasing this year and we now have further information about the set. 76220 The Batcycle vs Harley Quinn will be the first LEGO DC set of 2022 and sadly will be a 4+ set with just 43 pieces. This means however it does have a small retail price of $9.99 with two Minifigures included in this price once the set is available from 1st August 2022. The two Minifigures are unsurprisingly Batman and Harley Quinn. Batman is based on his 2012 black suit with it using the one-holed cape. Meanwhile, Harley Quinn uses the same head, torso and legs from her 2020 version but with a recolour of her hair from the LEGO Batman movie. The build is very similar to 76189 Captain America and Hydra Face-Off but instead with a black Batman motorcycle included. This uses the familiar 4+ motorcycle piece but with the batman logo in yellow on a 2x2 round tile on the sides and a printed slope of the batman logo at the front. Harley Quinn also comes with a lime green skateboard and a blue and red hammer build. Set Information Set Name - The Batcycle vs Harley Quinn Set Number - 76220 Ages - 4+ Piece Count - 43 Price - $9.99 Release Date - 1st August 2022

  • LEGO Super Mario 71410 Character Packs - Series 5 Officially Revealed | August 2022

Only two LEGO Super Mario sets for 2022 haven't been revealed yet but one has now finally been revealed at LEGO CON. 71410 will be the next Character Packs and will be the fifth series of them but retailing for more this Summer at $5.99. This is because of two reasons: the characters for this series are slightly larger than their predecessors and they come in cardboard boxes rather than the usual small plastic packets. The bigger characters are the likes of Toad and Yoshi which offer more playability and bigger rewards when playing with LEGO Mario, Luigi and Peach. However, because the characters are bigger and include more pieces, only eight of them are included in this new series rather than the usual 10. And, as already mentioned, these are in more sustainable cardboard boxes similar to LEGO VIDIYO Bandmates. List of Characters Blue Shy Guy Hammer Bro Nabbit Purple Toad Red Yoshi Toady Waddiewing Yellow Baby Yoshi General Series Information Set Name - Character Packs Series 5 Set Number - 71410 Ages - 6+ Piece Count - 47 Price - $5.99 Release Date - 1st August 2022

  • LEGO Icons 10497 Galaxy Explorer 90th Anniversary Set Officially Revealed | August 2022

Now LEGO's 90th Anniversary celebrations really begin as the surprise 90th Anniversary remake has been officially revealed at LEGO CON. 10497 Galaxy Explorer is a remaster of the LEGO Classic Space set of 497 Galaxy Explorer allowing a Castle set and a Space set to celebrate this iconic occasion. However, this is the much smaller but also much cheaper 18+ Anniversary set with 1254 pieces retailing for $99.99. With this brand new Galaxy Explorer, the main focus is on the classic spaceship itself. No 3D moon baseplates are included as these went out of production along with the small transmission tower which also won't be included. The spaceship of the Galaxy Explorer takes up the whole set measuring 32cm wide and 52.5cm long allowing it to be a suitable display model yet still being playable. For the cockpit and adjoining crew area, there are two 12 x 6 x 2 windscreens in transparent yellow just like the colour of the original design's windscreen. In general, the new spaceship is a lot less bumpy with the edges of the wing fully tiled and looking a lot smoother. This can be reflected even more throughout the whole detailed design which gives off a more modern look. The rest of the cockpit includes a lot of small details for controlling the ship along with other major accessories and sleeping arrangements for the crew. The rear of the ship can also be opened directly down the middle allowing further access to the cockpit. There's also a small rover hidden in here which allows one of the four LEGO Minifigure astronauts (two white and two red classic suits) to drive around. Set Information Set Name - Galaxy Explorer Set Number - 10497 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 1254 Price - $99.99 Release Date - 1st August 2022

  • LEGO Icons 10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th Anniversary Set Officially Revealed | August 2022

The highly anticipated and one of the biggest sets of the year, 10305 Lion Knights' Castle has finally been officially revealed. The original 90th Anniversary set has been rumoured for a long time as the winner of the 90th Anniversary vote but will now be releasing alongside the Classic Space remake of 10497 Galaxy Explorer. The set will be available from 1st August 2022 along with the Galaxy Explorer remake but this set is much much bigger. A total of 20 Minifigures are included in the $349.99 set with many of them already shown in the 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine promotional video. These include a maid, a young ranger, a boy and a farmer wearing a blue forestman hat and blue ox cart. There's also a total of nine lion knights included with red torsos and blue arms along with a blue lion crest on the torso, as well as blue legs and red robe printing. Furthermore, there are two forestmen with green hats, green legs and green torsos along with some red printing. Two of the Falcon Knights introduced last year are also included in their usual blue and grey colour scheme. There is also a baker, a skeleton in the dungeons, a magician and a Queen. However, no king will is included with her which is why the set is called Lion Knights' Castle rather than Lion King's Castle. All of these 20 Minifigures include a wide range of accessories like swords, axes, maces, lances, bows and shields. Various helmets and armour can be swapped between different Minifigures and a fanfare, a lute, a drum and several flags are also buildable within the set. There is also a range of animals including a horse with a range of new armour, a white lamb and a cow. But now it's time to look at the build which will be the largest LEGO Castle of all time consisting of 4514 pieces and measuring around half a metre wide. The castle can be used from both the front and back being extremely playable from every angle. At the Center of the great castle is the large Gatehouse which is heavily inspired by previous LEGO Castle sets. A small ascent takes the Minifigures from the outside to a brown drawbridge which can be raised using the rotary wheel on the castle wall. There is also a portcullis as further protection for the castle residents. In the room under the castle gate is a dungeon with two cells to store the enemies. However, in the left cell, which is behind a large tree, it's possible to take out the outer wall and escape the cell. Above the castle gate, on the other hand, the knights can choose a variety of weapons and armour in the armoury. The rest of the rooms are taken up with a castle kitchen, a millstone connected to the water wheel, a treasury, a dining room and the queen's chambers. However, no throne room is included indicating that it is a castle mainly for knights. Set Information Set Name - Lion Knights' Castle Set Number - 10305 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 4514 Price - $399.99 Release Date - 8th August 2022

  • LEGO Marvel 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum Officially Revealed | August 2022

One of the most hyped LEGO Marvel sets of the year is the upcoming 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum which has now finally been revealed. This is a brand new Sanctum Sanctorum, much bigger than the previous versions but based on two different Marvel films. 76218 is a crossover between the new Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness film and the Avengers: Infinity War film. The set itself is very similar to last year's 76178 Daily Bugle and can even be connected to it like the LEGO Icons modular line. The new Sanctum is also on a grey 32x32 baseplate just like the Daily Bugle. However, it isn't as tall as the Bugle with it being only three storeys high (ground floor, first floor and attic) but it's easily the most detailed Sanctum so far with each level being detachable. As the Sanctum is a corner building, it is surrounded by two 7 studs wide walkways. There's also another section outside of the sanctum of a 6 stud-wide courtyard meaning that the actual Sanctum Sanctorum building itself is 25 studs wide x 19 studs deep. But there are still many details directly in front of the main building of the set. There are two trees, a fire hydrant, a mailbox and a lantern all located in front of the Sanctum. Meanwhile, in the backyard is a large yellow dumpster and some brick-built cardboard boxes. The back of the house is decorated with various graffiti and posters including a poster of Nick Fury a drawing of the symbol of the ten rings and a large billboard advertising the new Captain America exhibit at the Bricksonian Museum. On to the inside though, on the first floor, there's a magical portal on the wall from which Garganots protrudes. The monster can either look outwards or inwards but only his eye and some tentacles can be seen. There's also a door which contains a backdrop which can be swapped out with two others using a hidden sliding mechanism in the wall. Meanwhile, the ground floor offers relatively little space as the grand staircase dominates the room. Underneath the stairs, however, is a hidden room where the time stone is kept. In the attic, there are lots of books, treasures and other curiosities that also expand across other floors. Set Information Set Name - Sanctum Sanctorum Set Number - 76218 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 2708 Price - $249.99 Release Date - 1st August 2022
