The first proper 2023 news is here thanks to a mysterious tease from Promobricks.de hinting at the upcoming LEGO NINJAGO wave. The tease has given away many set numbers and a couple of names for the 12-set wave releasing on 1st January 2023. There are also some prices as well thanks to a source on Instagram but, like with every rumour, take these with a grain of salt, especially with LEGO's recent price increases. The most interesting set of the wave so far is 71787 Ninja Brick Box which sounds like it could be a mix between a LEGO Classic set and a LEGO NINJAGO set. However, similar to the Winter 2022s wave, this wave is mainly filled with smaller and more simple EVO sets aimed at younger children. A lot of these will most likely be 4+ sets along with the gimmick sets but these could also be Spinijitzu Ninja Training sets. 71777 *Nya Gimmick (Spinjitzu Ninja Training)* Set Name - *Nya Gimmick (Spinjitzu Ninja Training)* Set Number - 71777 Ages - TBC Piece Count - TBC Price - TBC Release Date - 1st January 2023 71778 *Cole Gimmick (Spinjitzu Ninja Training)* Set Name - *Cole Gimmick (Spinjitzu Ninja Training)* Set Number - 71778 Ages - TBC Piece Count - TBC Price - TBC Release Date - 1st January 2023 71779 *Zane Gimmick (Spinjitzu Ninja Training)* Set Name - *Zane Gimmick (Spinjitzu Ninja Training)* Set Number - 71779 Ages - TBC Piece Count - TBC Price - TBC Release Date - 1st January 2023 71780 Cole's Car EVO Set Name - Cole's Car EVO Set Number - 71780 Ages - TBC Piece Count - TBC Price - $9.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023 71781 Lloyd's Mech Battle EVO Set Name - Lloyd's Mech Battle EVO Set Number - 71781 Ages - TBC Piece Count - TBC Price - TBC Release Date - 1st January 2023 71782 *LEGO NINJAGO EVO* Set Name - *LEGO NINJAGO EVO* Set Number - 71782 Ages - TBC Piece Count - TBC Price - $34.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023 71783 Kai's Mech Rider EVO Set Name - Kai's Mech Rider EVO Set Number - 71783 Ages - TBC Piece Count - TBC Price - $44.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023 71784 *LEGO NINJAGO EVO* Set Name - *LEGO NINJAGO EVO* Set Number - 71784 Ages - TBC Piece Count - TBC Price - $9.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023 71785 *LEGO NINJAGO* Set Name - *LEGO NINJAGO* Set Number - 71785 Ages - TBC Piece Count - TBC Price - $79.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023 71786 *LEGO NINJAGO (Zane's Titanium Dragon)* Set Name - *LEGO NINJAGO (Zane's Titanium Dragon)* Set Number - 71786 Ages - TBC Piece Count - TBC Price - $99.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023 71787 Ninja Brick Box Set Name - Ninja Brick Box Set Number - 71787 Ages - TBC Piece Count - TBC Price - $59.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023 71788 Nya's Bike Set Name - Nya's Bike Set Number - 71788 Ages - TBC Piece Count - TBC Price - $9.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023

After the recent rumours of a brand new LEGO Star Wars UCS set, 75331 UCS Razor Crest, it's inevitable that some older sets will soon retire. We now have even more information about LEGO's retirement plan for the LEGO Star Wars theme with our information going up to 2024 but as the year goes on we'll very soon have even more information about 2024 and maybe even beyond. This will almost definitely change as more sets are released this year and sales for the certain set either increase or decrease. However, we can say that most of the LEGO Star Wars sets that were released in 2020 will definitely have retired at the end of 2023. Any LEGO Star Wars D2C sets like 75309 Republic Gunship and the rumoured $549.99 75331 UCS Razor Crest, usually last quite a few years and always last longer than the smaller more widely available sets. However, we'd recommend getting any retiring D2Cs as soon as possible as these will quickly increase in price and go for a hefty amount of money in a few years. The LEGO Icons theme has expanded drastically in recent years from Modular buildings to brick-built flowers and now there's a brick-built console. In particular, it's a LEGO version of the Atari 2600 console that has been revealed to coincide with that its 50th Anniversary celebrations this year. The retro console will be available from 1st August 2022 as an 18+ set especially aimed at those kids from the 80s. Just like the original Atari, the LEGO model is similar in size and is mainly black with light brown panels to round off the look. The classic side controls are also included along with a slot for the game cartridges at the top of the console. The top of the console can also be opened up to reveal a small vignette of a typical 80s kids' bedroom. In the bedroom, a Minifigure sits on the floor with a joystick in his hand whilst playing Asteroids on a TV. There is a small-built mini Atari in front of the TV with various posters hanging on the room wall around it. A ghetto blaster, an old-fashioned telephone and a white cat also being inside the small vignette. Furthermore, Atari 2600 console also comes with three game cartridges of the games Asteroids, Adventure and Centipede. Each one can be converted into mini 8x8 vignettes to match their game themes. Centipede is a build of an insect with a mushrooms background, Asteroids is of course a small spaceship that fights against asteroids and UFOs and Adventure is a yellow castle build. Altogether this makes for a pretty big set even if it's not the most colourful and play feature-friendly LEGO model ever. And because of the sheer amount of stuff included, 10306 will retail for $239.99 with a total of 2532 pieces once it releases on 1st August 2022 exclusively at LEGO stores and online. This may be the first set to start a running theme of brick-built LEGO consoles for the LEGO Icons theme. Set Information Set Name - Atari 2600 Set Number - 10306 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 2532 Price - $239.99 Release Date - 1st August 2022
