First Leaked Images of LEGO Star Wars 75398 C-3PO | August 2024

The LEGO Star Wars theme is almost ready for another action-packed wave of sets with a few models already being revealed this morning and in previous days. A part of this brand new August 2024 wave of LEGO Star Wars is a brand new D2C of 75398 C-3PO. Our first ever brick-built version of the fan favourite droid C-3PO will be released on the 1st of August 2024 for $139.99 / €139.99 / £119.99 with a total of 1,138 pieces included.

C-3PO has been a common character in the Star Wars franchise and that has carried over into LEGO form too so it's a surprise that it's taken LEGO so long to create a brick-built version of the droid. We've already seen three buildable R2-D2's release, including this year's 75379 R2-D2, and Chewbacca with 2023s 75371 Chewbacca so it is nice to also get C-3PO to celebrate 25 years of the LEGO Star Wars theme.

Compared to the two buildable characters mentioned, 75398 Buildable C-3PO is in scale with May's R2-D2 which can also be reflected in a much smaller piece count compared to the 18+ Chewy that was released in September last year. A fair amount of larger moulds and pieces and of course some exclusive prints are included in this LEGO version of C-3PO. Obviously, a lot of shiny gold elements are included to create the brick-built protocol droid which also comes with a silver leg.

Being an 18+ model, a small display stand of the Tatooine desert along with an information plaque for the droid is also included. This black information plaque/display stand also has room to display the single Minifigure included in 75398 of C-3PO himself. However, it is sadly the same C-3PO minifigure that’s currently exclusive to 75341 Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder, complete with that dual-moulded silver leg.
