  • LEGO Ideas 21351 The Nightmare Before Christmas Rumoured For September 2024

2024 has been another incredible year for the LEGO Ideas theme with franchises like Dungeons & Dragons and Jaws being translated into brick-built form for the first time. On the 1st of September 2024, we'll see our seventh LEGO Ideas set of the year with it being 21351 The Nightmare Before Christmas. The 18+ branded model will retail for $199.99 / €199.99 / £169.99 with a total of 2,193 pieces included. The original submission by Tvrulesmylife was approved for production by the LEGO Ideas team back in February 2023. Since then the LEGO designers and fan designer have been hard at work designing our first LEGO set based on the 1993 Disney film. The only other time we've gotten LEGO The Nightmare Before Christmas was back in 2019 with the second LEGO Disney Minifigure series including both Jack Skellington and Sally Stitches. Jack Skellington and Sally Stitches are likely to return in 21351 but this time Jack Skellington will include longer legs along with updated printing for his torso and a new facial expression. The same will likely happen with Sally. The original submission also included a further six Minifigures of Dr Finkelstein, Lock, Shock, Barrel, Santa and Jack as Sandy Claws. Hopefully, LEGO remain true to the original idea with its Minifigure selection. The original submission of The Nightmare Before Christmas included approximately 2,000 pieces suggesting some slight tweaks and added details. The main build of the set is Halloween Town with plenty of iconic locations combined into just one brick-built 18+ display and play model. In the centre of the build is the haphazard house of Jack Skellington - the main character in the movie. This is the main part of the set with the house towering over the rest of Halloween town. The house can be spun around 360 degrees to reveal three small rooms inside. There is a living room with an armchair and fireplace, an attic bedroom holding Jack’s bed and a room where Jack has created his own interpretation of Christmas with a Halloween twist.   On the right of the model is the gothic but also really cool Town Square complete with a Town Hall along with a creepy green-coloured water fountain. A fun play feature is also included here with a scene depicting Santa being kidnapped and transported into the trick or treaters walking bathtub.   Meanwhile, to the left of the build is the Spiral Hill which can be found within the town's dark and dull graveyard. The graveyard is also home to Jack’s Ghostly dog Zero and his kennel tomb. Dr Finkelstein can be seen wandering the graves here whilst Jack & Sally join each other on top of the hill to recreate one of the film’s most recognisable scenes. Hopefully, many of these iconic scenes are captured in brick-built LEGO form in the final model once it releases on the 1st of September 2024. 21351 The Nightmare Before Christmas Set Name - The Nightmare Before Christmas Set Number - 21351 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 2,193 Price - $199.99 / €199.99 / £169.99 Release Date - 1st September 2024 21351 The Nightmare Before Christmas releases on the 1st of September 2024 but what do you think? According to fateful on Instagram, these 12 sets will kick off 2025 for LEGO NINJAGO as they will all release on the 1st of January 2025. If the non-licensed theme is like previous years, we can expect the other sets to release on the 1st of March 2025 and on the 1st of June 2025. Unsurprisingly, this 2025 wave of LEGO NINJAGO is made up of a range of mechs and vehicles along with a couple of interesting and more different builds. The one which stands out the most to us is 71841 Dragonian Storm Village. Sadly the same cannot be said for the other Zane mech of the wave of 71827 Zane's Battle Mech which retails for $19.99 with only 92 pieces. Finally, we have a brand new LEGO NINJAGO 4+ model of 71831 Ninja Spinjitzu Temple and this waves 'gimmick' sets. • LEGO Technic 42177 Mercedes-Benz G 500 PROFESSIONAL Line Officially Revealed | August 2024

2019 was the last time we saw a proper brick-built off-roader for the LEGO Technic theme but all of that is about to change on the 1st of August 2024. 42177 Mercedes-Benz G 500 PROFESSIONAL Line will fill the void left by 42110 Land Rover Defender retailing for $249.99 with a total of 2,891 pieces included. After today's official reveal it's now the second biggest LEGO Technic set of the year, behind this year's Supercar model of 42172 McLaren P1. The Mercedes G Class is well known in the automotive world and so it's no surprise to see LEGO recreating the car in brick-built form. The LEGO Technic designers will be basing the model on 2017s Mercedes G500 4x4. Compared to the most recent version of the G500 in 2018, the 4x4 model has larger wheels and, thanks to its portal axles, it has particularly high ground clearance and off-road capability. The LEGO Model of this Mercedes 4x4 is packed full of its real-life features and classic LEGO Technic play functions. 42177 includes working steering, a raised suspension, a 6-cylinder in-line piston engine in its openable hood and obviously a brick-built LEGO gearbox. The Mercedes-Benz vehicle can have all four of its doors opened to access a detailed LEGO Technic interior complete with four seats for the whole family. Many concept models of the Mercedes G500 4x4 were produced  in an ‘Electric Beam Yellow’ colour scheme but LEGO has gone with a more darker range of colours. The model is mainly a reddish-orange colour with plenty of prints and stickers for the car's branding, front and rear elements and other interior features. Some brick-built accessories are also included like the ladder, spare wheel and roof rack, plus the opening tailgate and hood. 42177 Mercedes-Benz G 500 PROFESSIONAL Line Set Name - Mercedes-Benz G 500 PROFESSIONAL Line Set Number - 42177 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 2,891 Price - $249.99 Release Date - 1st August 2024 42177 Mercedes-Benz G 500 PROFESSIONAL Line releases on the 1st of August 2024 but what do you think? The LEGO Technic theme is well known for capturing some of the world's best and most iconic vehicles and that trend has well and truly continued in 2024. However, as you can tell from the official images, the P1 is a substantial size and similar to previous LEGO Technic Supercars coming in at that 1:8 supercar scale. Just like the last Technic Supercar of 42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3, 42172 also includes a printed 18+ information plaque to go alongside the main build of the supercar. The British sportscar of the McLaren P1 is complete with all its unique features seen in real life. The 7-speed gearbox with its shifter drum, the suspension and the V8 piston engine have all been translated into brick-built form to showcase the excellence of the McLaren branded car. The LEGO McLaren P1 has an adjustable rear wing along with the opening doors with their butterfly-style mechanism, unique to many iconic supercars. The LEGO Technic 18+ model is in a yellow/orange colour - perfect to go alongside the other bright colours in the LEGO Technic Supercar collection. Like the real-world car, the LEGO Technic version features its own unique serial number, which gives you access to exclusive online content. An advanced build with plenty of advanced play functions makes it the perfect 1:8 brick-built version of the McLaren P1 which released over 10 years ago. 42172 McLaren P1 Set Name - McLaren P1 Set Number - 42172 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 3,893 Price - $449.99 / €449.99 / £389.99 Release Date - 1st August 2024 42172 McLaren P1 releases on the 1st of August 2024 but what do you think? • LEGO Family 41839 Message Board Officially Revealed | August 2024

After our first leaked images of 41838 Family Travel Memories just the other day, LEGO have gone ahead and officially presented the second model in the brand new unlicensed LEGO Family theme. The new theme, which is currently entitled Family, is obviously based around family adventures, connections and love but in brick-built LEGO form. This can be especially be seen in 41839 Message Board which has been officially revealed today for a 4th of August 2024 release. 41839 Message Board is basically the LEGO equivalent of the illuminated boards which have become extremely popular and common in homes in previous years. • First Leaked Images of LEGO Star Wars 75388 Jedi Bob's Starfighter | August 2024

Just one LEGO Star Wars set for August 2024 has yet to be revealed but we finally have our first leaked images of the Summer model. In particular, this is 75388 Jedi Bob's Starfighter which is the third set based on the upcoming f our-part LEGO Star Wars miniseries entitled LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy. This is the smallest of the three non-canon sets retailing for $39.99 with a total of 310 pieces included. The last and only LEGO set that saw the anonymous Jedi Bob appear in was 2002s 7163 Republic Gunship but 22 years later the non-canon Jedi makes his return. In 75388 Jedi Bob is obviously included as a Minifigure in a much more updated and modern form. However, he'll still include his yellow skin colour for his head and arms. He also comes with a hood, a cape and his green lightsaber as accessories. Along with Jedi Bob, two more Minifigures are included of Admiral Ackbar Clone Trooper and the Gonk droid SR-VO. Those three Minifigures somewhat make that $40 price tag more reasonable along with the main and only build of the set of Jedi Bob's Starfighter. This ship is very much a mix between 75333 Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Starfighter and 75087 Anakin's Custom Jedi Starfighter. Jedi Bob's Starfighter has that white and red colour scheme of Obi-Wans but has a much wider and longer shape more similar to Anakin. Two hyperdrive thrusters are included at the front of the starfighter along with a cockpit big enough for a single Minifigure of Jedi Bob. 75388 Jedi Bob's Starfighter Set Name - Jedi Bob's Starfighter Set Number - 75388 Age Range - 8+ Piece Count - 310 Price - $39.99 / €39.99 / £TBC Release Date - 1st August 2024 75388 Jedi Bob's Starfighter will release on the 1st of August 2024 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 75388 in just a few weeks time? Are you happy to see the return of Jedi Bob? Will you be watching the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy series once it releases on Disney+ in September? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

  • 4 LEGO Fortnite Sets Rumoured For October 2024 | 77070, 77071, 77073 + 77074

LEGO and Fortnite officially began their collaboration back in December 2023 with the in-game LEGO Fortnite event. But around 10 months later we'll finally be getting official brick-built LEGO sets based on one of the best-selling games of all time. In fact, the physical collaboration between Epic Games and LEGO will be a fully-fledged theme consisting of four brand new sets once they launch on the 1st of October 2024. Different characters and certain smaller builds have already appeared in LEGO form in the game but the four rumoured sets and what they include will most likely remain a mystery until the official release in possibly a few weeks time. The set numbers of the four sets are 77070, 77071, 77073 and 77074 with the latter of these being the most expensive at $119.99. 77073 will also be our first 18+ LEGO Fortnite set as it's another brick-built character to add to the growing collection across a range of LEGO themes. 77070 Burger Battleground The cheapest set of the wave will be the Burger Battleground. For $14.99, we expect a simple playset of the burger restaurant with a couple of burgers and other accessories also being included. One to two Minifigures are also expected to be included for a reasonably priced licensed model in 2024. Set Name - Burger Battleground Set Number - 77070 Age Range - 9+ Piece Count - 193 Price - $14.99 / €14.99 / £TBC Release Date - 1st October 2024 77071 Loot Llama Our first of two brick-built characters releasing in this first wave of Lego Fortnite sets is 77071 Loot Llama. We've already seen pictures and renders of a brick-built LEGO Loot Lama before but this will be much bigger than those first glimpses. The lama will include a total of 691 pieces for a decent retail price of $39.99. As it's a 12+ build, we expect more play than detail but it will still be very displayable with plenty of bright colours for the crazy llama. Set Name - Loot Llama Set Number - 77071 Age Range - 12+ Piece Count - 691 Price -  $39.99 / €39.99 / £TBC Release Date - 1st October 2024 77073 Peely Bone Immediately after our brick-built Loot Llama, we have a brick-built version of Peely Bone. This is the single 18+ set of the wave which captures one of the most iconic characters in brick-built form. • July 2024 LEGO Promotional/GWP Set News: Everything We Know

July is here and that already means we're halfway through 2024 and what a year it has been so far in the brick-building LEGO community. Sadly, the 1st of July 2024 isn't a big release date with only a handful of brand new models hitting shelves on this date such as 10338 Bumblebee. And even more unfortunate news is that July also looks pretty bleak regarding new promotions. Two promotions are already currently available and will continue to be available, whilst stocks last, until the end of the week. Current rumours then suggest our third Houses of the World GWP will become available only a couple of days later but is currently the third and final promotional item rumoured for the seventh month of 2024. Hopefully, more promos end up releasing than just three across July's 31 days but here's what we know so far for July 2024's selection. 40689 Firework Celebrations This year's celebration GWP is 40689 Firework Celebrations which is already available and will remain that way until the 7th of July 2024. The 7+ model which contains 184 pieces and two Minifigures looks to coincide with tomorrow's July the 4th celebrations in America. 40689 is available with any purchases over $80 but, like with all GWPs, only whilst stock lasts so you may have to be quick! As the name suggests, 40689 includes a small brick-built scene/display of launching fireworks. One firework is being prepared for launch whilst the others already have, displaying some beautiful brick-built effects to replicate real-life firework displays. Behind these fireworks is a dark blue wall with stickers of colourful fireworks along with some stars shining in the night sky. Set Name - Firework Celebrations Set Number - 40689 Age Range - 7+ Piece Count - 184 Price - GWP over $80 Release Date - 28th June - 7th July 2024 30678 Minions' Jetboard July marks the release of the fourth Despicable Me film with LEGO sets based on the film being available since May. But, LEGO is now also launching the LEGO Despicable Me 4 polybag of 30678 Minions' Jetboard as a Gift With Purchase. It will be available until the 7th of July 2024 with purchases of LEGO Minecraft, Super Mario, Sonic, Animal Crossing and, of course, Despicable Me 4, over $40. Set Name - Minions' Jetboard Set Number - 30678 Age Range - 6+ Piece Count - 48 Price - GWP over $40 Release Date - 3rd - 7th July 2024 40692 Sweet Shop The third LEGO Houses of the World set for 2024 is 40692 Sweet Shop and like the other two released in the first half of the year, 40692 will be available with any purchases over $200. This will start from the 9th of July 2024 and, even though it's not confirmed, will most likely last around a week or 10 days. The exterior of the microscale Sweet Shop feels very Willy Wonka-like with a lot of bright colours such as blue, yellow and pink. A giant brick-built sweet is right at the top of the store along with a stickered 'Candy Shop' sign above the shop's microscale door. Like the other shops and houses before it, it's spread across two floors which can easily be removed. Inside, the Sweet shop itself is spread across two floors with plenty of interesting and sugary treats available for our microscale customers. There's the counter along with a couple of stickered displays, liquorice allsorts, lollipops, ice cream and cupcakes. A pinball machine and a cake are also included as one of the many display pieces in the Sweet Shop. Set Name - Sweet Shop Set Number - 40692 Age Range - 12+ Piece Count - TBC Price - GWP over $200 Release Date - 9th July 2024 So that concludes what we know so far about the promotional and gift-with-purchase sets for April 2024 but what do you think? How many of these GWPs will you be trying to pick up? Which one are you most excited for? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.
