It's been rumoured for many months that a second LEGO Marvel Minifigure series is coming in 2023 but we now have further information. Thanks to Promobricks.de we know the third LEGO Minifigures series of 2023 will include the usual 12 characters rather than the recently revealed 71038 which includes 18 unique Minifigures. This may be four last than the last LEGO Marvel Minifigure series but many awesome new characters are included...

As already mentioned, 71039 Marvel Series 2 will follow on from 71038 which will be celebrating 100 years of Disney along with a range of other sets around May 2023. This means once the second Marvel series releases in September 2023, it'll be the third and final series of the year. However, it will be the first LEGO Minifigure Series to be in boxes rather than the usual blind bags.
This threat to the LEGO Minifigure series has been coming for a while but it turns out that LEGO will go ahead with its more sustainable plans. The boxes themselves will be smaller than the LEGO Super Mario Character Pack Boxes but will most likely make it impossible to feel for specific Minifigures. We don't know how this will impact sales or whether LEGO will continue this no matter what fans say...
