LEGO Jurassic World Rumoured June 2023 Sets | Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary

We've known for a while now that LEGO Jurassic World will be returning this summer but it's now confirmed that this will be a very special wave of sets. This is because Promobricks.de is reporting that all five sets releasing on 1st June 2023 will be celebrating the first Jurassic Park film. Jurassic Park was first released on 16th July 1993 making this year its 30th anniversary since the franchise first started.

And all five sets will be based on some of the most iconic, funny and tense scenes from the family fun movie. Dinosaurs like Triceratops, Brachiosaurus and Dilophosaurus will all be coming in this wave in their usual big LEGO moulds. These sadly do affect the price of the five sets but the most expensive of these is 76961 Visitor Centre: Attack of the T-Rex which will retail at $119,99 for 693 pieces and a total of two dinosaurs.

76957 The Velociraptor Escape

The smallest set of the wave is a brand new 4+ set for the theme with many large parts and a Raptor making the high price of $34.99. The set includes the two-story observation tower from the film but with both the front and back open. Instead, it's more like two arches placed one on top of the other with only one side of the enclosed wall. This can fall down though to simulate the Raptor's escape.

The observation tower roof features a 2x2 circular tile with the Jurassic Park logo, as well as a small winch to lower a basket of dino food into the enclosure. The ground floor of the tower also features a small next with an egg and a quad that fits a Minifigure. Two unknown Minfigures will also be included.

Ages - 4+

Piece Count - 137

76958 The Dilophosaurus Ambush

The cheapest set of the wave is based on one of the most gruesome scenes from the first Jurassic Park film where Dennis Nedry dies at the hands of the Dilophasaurus. Both the dinosaur and the Minifigure are included along with the shaving foam jas as an accessory.

An eight-stud-wide Jeep Wrangler in the Jurassic Park design is the main build of the set. The roof of the car is closed due to the storm but can probably be easily opened up again. There is also a side build of a signpost surrounded by some plant elements.

Piece Count - 211

Price - $19.99

Release Date - 1st June 2023

76959 The Search for the Triceratops

This may be one of the most fun sets of the wave as we get the LEGO Triceratops mould along with a giant pile of poo made from brown slopes and cheese wedges. Another red, green and yellow Ford Explorer is included in this set along with the Minifigures of Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm.

Set Name - The Search for the Triceratops

76960 The Discovery of the Brachiosaurus

The set is based on the scene where Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler see a dinosaur for the first time. Both of these Minifigures are included in the set along with the park director John Hammond. A Brachiosaurus is included in LEGO form for the first time which consists of many large moulded parts for the head, neck, tail, body and legs. However, many of these parts are very moveable.

A tree is included in the set for the Brachiosaurus to eat along with a small platform for the Minifigures to stand on and watch the dinosaur. Another Jeep Wrangler in the Jurassic Park design is included but this time with an open roof to make up the $79.99 set.

Set Name - The Discovery of the Brachiosaurus

Set Number - 76960

Ages - 10+

Piece Count - 512

Price - $79.99

Release Date - 1st June 2023

76961 Visitor Centre: Attack of the T-Rex

Finally, we have a recreation of the Jurassic Park Visitor Centre but sadly not in an 18+ diorama form. Instead, for $119.99 it'll be a normal play set with two large dinosaurs of a T-Rex and a Raptor. The visitor centre itself takes up most of the build meaning 16 cm high, 32 cm wide and 17 cm deep with a very scenic design.

Inside there's the lobby including the dinosaur skeleton, the restaurant area and the laboratory. Minifigures of Ellie Sattler, Alan Grant, Ray Arnold, Dr Henry Wu, Lex Murphy and Tim Murphy will all be included.

Set Name - Visitor Centre: Attack of the T-Rex

Set Number - 76961

Piece Count - TBC

Price - $119.99

Release Date - 1st June 2023
