LEGO Indiana Jones April 2023 Sets Leaked Online |Plane Chase, Lost Tomb + Temple of the Golden Idol

It's almost April and that means it's almost the return of the LEGO Indiana Jones theme with three sets available from 1st April 2023. Originally there were four but 77014 The Temple of Doom has been cancelled even though the reasons for this decision are unknown. But we still have 77012, 77013 and 77015 releasing in just a few weeks time.

And thanks to ewblegoboy on Instagram and the shop Learning Express Blue Bell we now have leaked images of all three sets. We'll go through these images and details below along with the fact that the main character Indiana Jones is even getting an update for the new theme. He has his usual shoulder bag and rolled-up whip but comes with a dual-moulded hat with hair and includes a couple of different torsos.

Four more sets with the set numbers 77016, 77017, 77018 and 77019 will release in the Summer of 2023 as these are based on the upcoming fifth Indiana Jones theme. All these sets were originally planned for last year until the film was further delayed so it's likely many of these sets are spoiler sets. And because of this, information on these four other sets isn't huge but we're likely to know more information soon.

77012 Fighter Plane Chase

The smallest set known so far for the reboot of the LEGO Indiana Jones theme is based on the chase scene from the third film. Our two heroes are in the stolen Citroen convertible which is eight studs wide. The Pilatus P-2 is also included in a revised form with stud shooters attached to both wings. An open jacket and tie Indiana Jones is included along with Henry Jones and a fighter pilot.

77013 Escape from the Lost Tomb

This set is based on the scene from the first Indiana Jones film with it being around 24 studs wide. Compared to the 2008 version of this set, it's very similar but with a more sophisticated back wall that uses different pieces and no large-scale stickers. However, some stickers are still used for different hieroglyphs.

There are also two detailed large statues of Anubis and a golden arch in the centre of the set. Underneath this is the Ark of the Covenant. There are also four Minifigures included of Indiana Jones, Marion Ravenwood, Sallah and a mummy along with many snake pieces.

77015 Temple of the Golden Idol

The biggest set of the wave has also been the most mysterious but we finally have more information about the only 18+ set for the theme. The diorama is based on the first film similar to 2008s Temple Escape set but with a black base and quote from the film. This reads:

"Let us hurry. There is nothing to see here" - Satipo

"That's what scares me" - Indiana Jones

Due to it being in diorama form, the temple is slightly smaller than 2008s version but still includes the entrance, the stone ball, the pit over which Indy swings his whip and the treasure room which can be lit with a glow-in-the-dark brick. The Minifigures included in this $150 set are Indiana Jones, Satipo, Belloq and a Hovito warrior making it one of the best LEGO Diorama sets yet.
