LEGO Ideas 21342 The Insect Collection Officially Revealed | September 2023

The 50th LEGO Ideas set has been officially revealed with it being the 5th LEGO Ideas set of 2023. In particular, this is 21342 The Insect Collection which will include a total of 1,111 pieces and retail for $79.99. The 18+ set will be available in just over two weeks starting from 4th September 2023 for LEGO VIPs and a worldwide general release on 7th September for those not signed up for the program.

The LEGO Ideas set based on the original fan-made submission unsurprisingly includes a colourful collection of brick-built LEGO insects. These insects include a Blue Morpho Butterfly, a Greater Chinese Mantis, and a Hercules Beetle. All of these are built using a range of interesting and detailed techniques in order to create them in LEGO form yet still make them look like the real thing.

Along with these three brick-built insects, the set also includes some brick-built stands and scenery. 21342 includes three small stands which are equipped with a black base and various decorations in the form of leaves, flowers and mushrooms. And that's all that makes up the 1,111 pieces included in this set which will be available starting from 7th September 2023 for $80.
