The next LEGO Star Wars May the Fourth set has been revealed with this year it being based on our favourite droid. The buildable 18+ R2-D2 consists of 2314 pieces and will release on 1st May just in time for the celebrations a few days later.
R2-D2 is packed full of interesting details, builds and functions. Just like in the movies, R2-D2 comes with a retractable third leg, rotating head, opening and extendable front hatches and an adjustable periscope. The model also comes with a hidden lightsaber in a compartment in the head.
The set also includes a normal Minifigure sized R2-D2 figure that sits on a base with the exclusive Lucasfilm 50th Anniversary logo. Next to this is a sticker containing all the important facts and data about R2-D2.
