LEGO Icons 10327 Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter Officially Revealed | February 2024

The LEGO Icons theme has been one of the best themes in recent years but a brand new reveal takes the theme to new heights. This is because the rumours of a LEGO and Dune set are true with 10327 Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter being officially revealed earlier today. 10327 will be released on 1st February 2024 with the second instalment of Dune in cinemas from March 2024.

10327 Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter is a brick-built version of the legendary House Atreides aircraft. For those who don't know, an ornithopter is a type of helicopter with dragonfly-like wings featured in the movie Dune. Depending on its size, an ornithopter has one to four pairs of wings that move the machine through the air by vibrating or beating quickly.

And LEGO have replicated this mechanism with four pairs of wings which can be folded out and very flappable to create that vibrating effect. The LEGO replica of the Royal Ornithopter can be displayed in either flight mode or landing mode. Deployable landing gear is included to create its landing mode and the final main feature of the set is its openable cockpit, showcasing its intricate interior.

10327 Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter will retail for a fairly high price of $164.99 for only 1,369 pieces. But eight brand new exclusive LEGO Dune Minifigures are included. These are Paul Atreides, Lady Jessica, Gurney Halleck, Chani, Leto Atreides, Liet Kynes, Duncan Idaho and Baron Harkonnen in his long robe making it a great 18+ LEGO Icons set to kick off 2024.
