As has been rumoured for about a month, the LEGO Creator Expert set 10302 will be based on a new license and it's now been confirmed what license it will be. Thanks to Promobricks.de Transformers will be in LEGO form for the first time just one year before the next Transformers film, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
The build itself will be a brick built figure of the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, who will be able to change into his truck form without removing any pieces. He'll also include a jetpack and weapon with the brick-built figure sitting on one of those 18+ black stands with a printed information tile. This will be included in the 1508 piece set along with much more as it will retail for $169.99.
The exact version of Optimus Prime is unknown so far but it'll most likely either be based on his animated version or the one based on Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Due to there being the possibility of the set being based on the film, there's also the possibility that the set could be delayed until 2023 like the film. This however should be confirmed within the next couple of months.
